EXTENSION!
TRIP TO CANADA!
GRADUATION IN BOSTON!
COLLEGE IN SAN DIEGO!
Yes, all of the topics above is things which has or is going to happen throughout April and May. As a loooot of my friends already know, I chose to extend my year here in the U.S with 6 months, which means I won't be home until the end of March next year (2019). the reason why I choose to extend is because of the relations and the life I've build up so fast. I've gotten to meet some of my best friends here in the US, and my soulmate. Everyday for me here in the U.S is a dream come true. Especially when I have the opportunity to go traveling with my closest friends and just spend the free-time I finally have after hard work in school for 13 years straight. I'm so lucky that I've found myself two amazing girls here in the US which I consider my two best friends at the moment. We share everything; Travels, experiences, problems, love, joy and I could keep going for hours... But, one of the main reasons for my extension is my lovely boyfriend Joe. He has made my year here in the U.S, so incredible. He's shown me the life of having a big family (we're talking waaay over a hundred family members) and even tho' his family is so big and sometimes incalculable I really have never felt more welcome and loved from "strangers" who already see you as a part of the family.
I am truly grateful.
CANADA
I went to Canada with my boyfriend, his cousin, his girlfriends and her two friends. We had a great time partying (legally) and celebrating me and another girls 20th birthday. It was a nice weekend trip, but a long drive on 8 hours to get there. But I would say that it was worth it, and I might actually do it again.
GRADUATION Joe's sister Katie graduated from Boston College, and Joe's family invited me with them to go celebrate her, and that was also a great opportunity for me to see Boston. We had a great time and the weather was amazing, almost too warm though. The graduation happened inside of Boston college's stadium and there was no shades, so we were boiling, but it was totally worth it to experience a real american graduation ceremony.
Joe and I had a lot of alone time too thought the weekend, where we walked around Boston by ourself. We ate lunch at one of Americas oldest restaurants called Union Oyster House. I had a shrimp cocktail which was absolute delicious. Boston really have the best seafood ever.
This trip gave em a better relationship with Joe's family but it also learned med another culture, the Massachusetts culture.
College in San Diego
Yes, I went to California again but this time under other circumstances. I went there to take a college class which is one of the things an Au Pair is required to do. We need to get 6 school credits, and I found a course in San Diego which offered the right amount of hours that'll give me enough credits to either finish my year or extend.
I had a lot of fun at this course. I got to meet a bunch of new au pairs from all around the world and the united states. We learned about the American culture, the diversity, politics and the history of San Diego.
