Minnehaha (FROZEN) Falls!!

The Perfect Weekend

This weekend I went to the famous waterfall called Minnehaha Falls which is totally frozen, and simply looks AMAZING! I went there with my boyfriend and my two amazing danish girlfriends Sara and Emilie.

So Minnehaha falls is this beautiful, and quite a big waterfall (16,5m), which is placed in Minneapolis.

I went to this Minnehaha Falls the first week I arrived here, and at that time the water wasn't frozen mostly because there were about 27 degrees Celsius.

This waterfall is "tall", but also quite wide. All in all, it's an amazing place, and I'm definitely going there again soon.. Aaaand that's mostly because the police made sure I didn't get the "perfect picture", which I would have gotten if I was allowed to go down the stairs and close to the fall. Emilie and Sara were lucky enough to get one of those pictures, but they were actually really close to getting a ticket from the police since they blocked their way up. They had to take the back way, or else they would have probably gotten a ticket, which I saw 5 people carrying in their hands when I just arrived ta the parking lot.

The reason why the police are there is that it's very dangerous to stand on the ice since it can fall down when you least expect it. That happened to a 20 yr woman last year (2017).

But I did get a lot of good pictures, and we literally only stayed there for like 10 minutes, since it was about -20,5 degrees Celsius outside.

All in all, it was a really good day, and after we've been there Sara, Emilie, I and (poor) Joe, went shopping for an hour in uptown Minneapolis. Wheeeere I got myself an adorable phone case from Urban Outfitters (on sale, hihih)!

When we were done shopping Joe and I went back to his house where we had a "goodbye" dinner with his dad and sister because she's going back to her college in Boston. We ate such a delicious steak!!
